CP Compliance (aka The Stormwater Princess) is a Colorado-based business formed by Carrie Powers, formerly of the Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority (SEMSWA). Carrie has worked directly for local governmental agencies developing and implementing MS4 stormwater programs in addition to consulting for non-standard MS4s in the transportation industry. As an active member of the Colorado Stormwater Council Permit Compliance Committee, she helps develop program audit guidance, serves as conduit for communication with CDPHE on defining/determining compliance, and determines the impact of other regulatory activities such as Minimum Industrial Discharge (MINDI), other discharge permits on MS4 program compliance. She also serves on the Board of the Mountain States Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA).
Carrie loves Colorado and all the outside adventures it offers. Running, biking, hiking, snowshoeing, rafting...and loves that it is sunny 300+ days a year so she can go outside and enjoy all the activities. Some people call her a Nuggets fanatic. She's not sure she is a fanatic exactly, but goes to a lot of basketball games and TIVOs the away games to replay questionable calls and yell at the TV. She does not have a Nuggets tattoo, so isn't really sure you can really say she's a fanatic.
As much as she loves Colorado, she also loves to travel and see new places. She gets bored if she is home too long without a trip somewhere. She doesn't travel as much as she would like because she hates leaving her dog, Max. Max is pretty much the cutest, smartest, most lovable dog ever. You can usually find Carrie in the kitchen baking most evenings. Cookies, cakes, muffins- if it goes in the oven, she'll make it. She loves to share her treats with friends, coworkers, and clients- and is known for bringing baked goods to meetings!
